For decades, the BBC entrusted the broadcasts of a nation to Garrard transcription turntables, and the finest listening rooms of the world have kept a place for Garrard ever since. Since 1954, one turntable above all has carried the name: the Garard 301.
Today Garrard is in the hands of SME, the British precision engineers whose turntables and tonearms set the standard the world over. Each 301 takes shape in the SME works at Steyning: an original drive, returned to the condition in which the unit left Swindon, then given one of two forms, the 301 Classic or the 301 Advanced. Every Garrard is built to order, as the finest instruments have always been.
